UPDATE -- 2/25/2024 • After reviewing this video, I found that I said that Queen Coral was a self insert based on Tui. Part of the reason I did that was to explain why her behavior seemed to be unchallenged in the text at the time. However, I have now realized that it comes off as me calling Tui an abuser herself, which was not what I intended. • I do not believe Tui is an abuser or that Queen Coral is a self-insert. In fact, I now believe Coral was introduced (alongside so many other bad mothers) because she writes partially what she fears, and what she fears is bad mothers (and children being forced into dangerous situations). • ORIGINAL • May or may not educate people in the comments.
