CHAPTER 33 – WEEKEND IN MALACCA • We decided to spend the weekend in Melacca, the Malaysian city that gives its name to the ‘Straights of Malacca’. We flew the drone around a magnificent seaside mosque just after sunset. The next day, we went to Portuguese Square, the UNESCO world heritage ‘Red Square’ area to view the historic Christ Church Malacca, and had a snack at the local Hard Rock Café. Then we took the river cruise past the colourful shops and houses. After sunset, we walked through the Jonker Street night market and sampled some of the food.
