Hi There, This is a project I made for fun and for a class assignment at IUPUI in my Advanced Interactive Class. The system turns on the Xmas lights based off of information provided from queries made to my database. This way the system is scalable and agnostic. I am running everything from my netbook and accessing it with my Droid using RemoteVNC to make things more secure. The USB device that I am using to turn the lights on and off is a relay phidget which can be found at http://www.phidgets.com. • The system recognizes when you are home by listening to see if your mobile phone bluetooth address is present.
