How to Make Eyeglasses from Scratch

I’m attempting to make a pair of prescription eyeglasses for myself from scratch, starting from their natural sources. With some guidance from Dr. Lewis Dartnell, I collected sand, limestone, and hardwood ashes to melt down into the glass. Then I figured out how to grind the lenses down to the correct curvature to match my prescription.
