Known as the island of sponge divers, you can stroll the local markets where vendors sell these natural sponges, or even visit the island's sponge museum, a testament to the sponge's crucial role in their culture. Head to the Agios Sabbas Church, situated on a hill overlooking the city, where you can enjoy some of the best views over Pothia and maybe catch a beautiful sunset as well.
