In this video, I diagnose my 5.4L 2V Expedition as having a stuck open thermostat. With the thermostat stuck open, the engine will never completely warm up to 190°F. It would only warm up to about 165°F and hold at that temperature. The only way this could be taking place is if the vehicle was using its cooling system to cool itself down unnecessarily. For this to happen, the thermostat must not be completely closed. I show in detail how to access the thermostat, remove it, replace it, and refill and bleed the cooling system.
