Welcome and in this tutorial, I will show you the 2-step picking process in SAP Extended Warehouse Management. • Picking the appropriate products for an order from a warehouse is known as order picking. The order picking procedure is the first step in the order fulfillment process, so if a warehouse does it right, they'll be one step closer to ensuring customer pleasure. • The requirement to perform picking cumulatively led to the development of the two-step approach. For the purpose of efficiency, a normal warehouse would like to handle several deliveries in one batch. Materials that are used in many deliveries can be taken out of their bins all at once and assigned to the appropriate deliveries. • In the warehouses, two-step picking can be used to reduce redundancy. In the first stage, referred to as the Withdrawal Step , products are collectively picked from an intermediate floor to the ground floor for several deliveries, allowing for greater picking process optimization. After that, product pickups for the corresponding outbound deliveries, also known as the Allocation/Subdivision” step, occur. So in order to complete this two-step picking, two warehouse tasks will be created. • ▶️ Some advantages of two-step picking: • • In the first stage, you remove the entire amount of material needed. You reduce the overall number of picking transactions required for picking by doing this. • • Allocation and stock disposal are two distinct warehousing operations. For each of these actions, you create a separate task. • • The 2-step choosing procedure can be closely followed at any moment. • So, watch the video till the end and let me know your thoughts in the comments. • If you like this video, please SUBSCRIBE and don’t forget to press the bell 🔔, like, comment and share.
