Prayer Plants! Ctenanthe Exotica, one of the MANY varieties of what are commonly called Prayer Plants. In this video I demonstrate how to inspect the plant's roots, how to carefully remove excess soil, how to select an appropriate sized pot for the plant, and the best location in the home based on the plant's light requirements. • I also tell my story of a beloved Calathea Rufibarba as an example of what NOT to do with a prayer plant. These plants raise their leaves in the evening, similar to the upright gesture of hands together in a motion of prayer, which is why they're called prayer plants.
