The Fritz Mann is a unique 25acp pocket pistol from 1920s Germany. The designer, Fritz Mann, wanted to create the smallest gun possible. To accomplish this, he eschewed the straight blowback or short-recoil mechanisms most frequently in use and developed a novel delay system whereby the cases intentionally bulge just a bit in the chamber. This slows down the rearward motion of the bolt. In my experience, it's not an exceptionally reliable system, but it may be due to my ammo.
