When working in rounds such as here, tilting your work forward reveals the third loop sitting behind the front and back loops. Once you locate this stitch, work a normal double crochet stitch into it, and that's all there is to it - double crochet in the third loop complete! (A double crochet in US terms is a treble crochet in UK terms). • Using this 'third loop' leaves the front and back loops unworked, and pushes them forwards, creating this lovely ridged effect - perfect for adding a little bit of texture to your crochet project! • This technique is used in my Hexa Flora Blanket pattern. This eye-catching design builds up hexagon motifs in a kaleidoscope of colours to create a striking blanket.
