How to Downgrade the BIOS on your Lenovo ThinkPad T430X230

Hello • So say you want to do some Mods or remove the whitelists for WI-FI or something on your T430/X230, BUT you are on say a too new version of the BIOS, well you're not out of luck! Now the installer that Lenovo provides you with will refuse to downgrade as you already have a newer version. • With my tutorial you can get round this by Flashing the BIOS directly via command prompt getting round any checks to see if you are on a newer BIOS. • • In this case, i wanted to remove the WIFI Whitelist but i was on Version 2.82 and for the WI-FI Whitelist removal i would need to be on 2.64. • This may work on say the, T420 and X220 but do this at your own risk. • Confirmed this does also indeed work on the X230. • I downloaded my BIOS from here: • T430 BIOS Downloads from Lenovo UK • https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/down... • T430 BIOS Downloads from Lenovo US: • https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/down... • X230 BIOS Downloads from Lenovo UK • https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/down... • X230 BIOS Downloads from Lenovo US: • https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/down... • If you found this helpful, please subscribe and let me know your thoughts.
