You can order the new wheel online by visiting searspartsdirect.com. Or by calling 1-800-252-1698. Write down the exact model number from your lawn mower. Include dashes, periods and other characters. You’ll need this complete number to ensure you order the correct parts. To perform this repair, you will need safety glasses and ratchet wrench with the correct sized socket or a pair of needle nosed pliers, depending on your model. You will also need a block of wood, 4x4in. To prevent the engine from accidently starting, first remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug and tuck it away. Then lift the motor and place a block of wood under the mower, so that it’s supported and the wheels are off the ground. Now, remove the hubcap and then remove the nut that secures the wheel with the ratchet wrench. If your model has a cotter pin, use a pair of needle nosed pliers to remove it. Once the fastener is removed, slide the old wheel off and set it aside. Inspect the axil shafts and remove any foreign debris. If the axil looks ok, slide the new wheel on. If this is a drive wheel, you may need to turn it until the gears mesh. Once you have the new wheel on the axil, secure it with the nut of cotter pin and reinstall the hubcap. Then lift the mower and remove the block of wood. Be sure to reconnect the spark plug wire. Make sure the spark plug wire snaps onto the spark plug. That’s all it takes to replace the wheels on your lawn mower.
