Armstrong furnaces are tough and can get you through the coldest winters. But if you don’t take care of it properly, you may find yourself with higher than normal utility bills and lots of HVAC bills. Luckily there are some things you can do to increase the life and strength of your furnace. • The easiest and most important is to change the filter about every month. This will keep airflow strong through your HVAC system, prevent other parts of the furnace from getting clogged and it will keep the air in your home free of allergens and dust. To change the filter on your Armstrong furnace, first locate the filter access panel and slide it open or remove it. Then look inside and locate the filter. Remove the old filter by sliding it out of the positioning rails. Then align the new filter with the arrows and slide it in, similar to how you removed the old one. Then close and access panel and you’re done! • If you’re running into other problems with your furnace, there are a few other easy things to look for: making sure the furnace is plugged in and there are no blown fuses or circuits on your circuit breaker, and making sure the thermostat is set properly. If you’re still having trouble, Armstrong has supplied a list of error codes: • Single LED flash - Flame is burning when gas is off • Two/three LED flashes - Problem with the pressure switch • Four LED flashes - Problem with the height limit switch • Five LED flashes - Problem with the rollout switch • Six LED flashes - Problem with the pressure switch • Seven LED flashes - Problem with the ignitor • Eight LED flashes - The flame is low/dropping • Nine LED flashes - Problem with the voltage • Learn More: • https://twintechheating.ca/armstrong-...
