This is especially important if you bought a used car and you are not satisfied with the learned behavior of the automatic shifting from the previous owner of the car. When you do a factory reset, the DSG will come with the settings as from the factory and will start learning from your own preference rather than having it learned from the previous car owner. • This sometimes also helps resolve minor issues with the DSG gearbox and the car is not jerking anymore.
