The composition of air and the atmosphere is described in this Fundamentals of Weather and Climate playlist. The main gases in the atmosphere are Nitrogen (N2, 78%), Oxygen (O2, 21%) and other gases (1%, mostly Argon, Ar). We also discuss Water Vapor (H2O), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), Nitrox Oxide (N2O), Ozone (O3) and Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs).
