This 1961 Mercedes-Benz O 319 is a 17-passenger Omnibus that was reportedly used by an Idaho ski resort as a shuttle for employees in the 1960s. The O319 model was premiered by Mercedes-Benz at the 1955 International Motor Show in Frankfurt, alongside the L319 line of trucks and vans, as the company’s first offering in the light transport sector. Like the L319, the Omnibus featured a cab-over-engine design and a wheelbase of 112 inches, allowing for a 36.7-foot turning radius. Buses measured 190 inches in overall length and were available with two or three doors and seating for 10 to 18 passengers, as well as the option of panoramic windows and other special trim. This example features a 17-passenger configuration with a solid roof and two doors. • #O319 #mercedesbus #omnibus #oldbenz • photo: bringatrailer.com
