Major Kurt Chew-Een Lee was a pioneering figure in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the first Asian American Marine Corps officer. His leadership was instrumental in ensuring the survival of his unit and the success of the larger Marine operation. • Lee was wounded in action multiple times but continued to lead and inspire his men.
