The fort covers 3 km2 and is surrounded by a strong sandstone wall. • Inside the fort, there are six palaces, three temples and numerous water tanks. Gwalior Fort was considered the most impregnable fortress in all of North India. • Next to West Gate you will find the fabulous Jain statues and carvings. A must visit.
