AB, AB, ABC, now I know my ABC’. * Oh, hello Headmaster… • H: What are you doing? • T: Oh, I’m teaching them the alphabet… • H: (he pulls her aside) It goes like this: ‘ABCDEFG, HIJKLMNOP; QRS, TUV, WX, Y and Z; now I know my ABC, come along and sing with me’. • T: I’ll never remember that…* • H: It’s your job to remember! (he motions at her to rejoin her class) • T: How does it go again? * • H: ABCDEFG… • T: …that’ll do… * • H: It won’t do!
