If understated screwball comedy is a thing, Bheja Fry would be the prime candidate for the perfect movie. Consisting of seasoned veterans like rajat kapoor, vinay pathak , ranvir shorey and milind soman, the acting is magnificent because each of them employ a method to make their character memorable, be it vinay pathak’s laugh, milind soman’s name dementia, ranvir shorey’s voice or rajat kapoor’s straight man persona each of them is an acting marvel to look at. The story is simple but it’s the writing that elevates the film to it’s classic status with the characters being written like actual humans who have real emotions rather than loud mouthpiece for jokes where each character talks the same. The theme for the movie is surprisingly smart. With an ending that is genuinely heartfelt yet feels real in a way that will leave you with a smile on your face.
