In 1984, the then Los Angeles Raiders travelled to Soldier Field to face the Chicago Bears in what many consider the most vicious NFL game ever. This game saw many hits, tackles, fumbles and interceptions that also saw 5 quarterback changes. The Raiders went through 5 different quarterback changes and eventually had to get their Punter Ray Guy to come into the game under center. This was a Raiders team that included Marcus Allen, Jim Plunkett, Howie Long, Lyle Alzado and Cliff Branch. • The Bears under defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan, played with the 46 defense that including players like Mike Singletary, Richard Dent and Dan Hampton.
