It may look like a robot out of Buck Rogers or the Mandalorian… so what is this futuristic mask all about? The Dr Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite FaceWare Pro is a skincare device designed to boost collagen, kill acne-causing bacteria, reduce inflammation and smooth wrinkles with different LED lights. That’s a big promise. I recently received a sample of the FaceWare Pro to test out and review for myself. I’ll tell you what it’s like to use, what it can do for your skin and how it works, as well as whether I see any results. • See my update!    • Don't buy Dr Dennis Gross FaceWare Pr...   • Get one: https://amzn.to/2TBHMdU • DDG Skincare products I'm using LOVING: • Dr Dennis Gross Skincare Ferulic + Retinol Anti-Aging Moisturizer: https://tidd.ly/2XXEQKN • Dr Dennis Gross Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Triple Correction Eye Serum: https://tidd.ly/38bt8xW • Dr Dennis Gross Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Texture Renewal Serum: https://tidd.ly/2XU9SmH • Dr Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel : https://tidd.ly/3jdwh6H • Read more: http://www.TechGadgetsCanada.com • • Follow me on Facebook:   / techgadgetscanada   • This mask uses 100 red LED lights, and 60 blue LED lights as therapy to help reduce the appearance of spots, blemishes, lines, and wrinkles. The device uses natural light energy across several spectrums that the company says is proven to improve the look of skin. • What is an LED face mask? • Before we get too far down the road, it's probably a good idea to look at what this device is and what it's designed to do. The Spectralite FaceWare Pro has those tiny LED lights imbedded in the backside of the mask, into a soft silicone. The lights are designed to be in close contact with your skin and once you turn them on, to penetrate. • This technology is very similar to other handheld LED light devices, such as the Foreo UFO which I have also reviewed here. • The difference between something like that, and some thing like this, is a face mask design covers your entire face, while the handheld devices can only do a very small area and require you to move them around constantly. • What does LED light do for skin? • Collagen lifts and supports the skin working deep within like support columns to support your skin’s surface. Over time, your skin produces less collagen, and with sunlight can become damaged. This is what results in lines and wrinkles - thiose little support columns are collapsing. The spectrum of red lights in the face mask is said to help increase collagen production, which should plump up those supports under the skin. • This device has three colours of light only: • Red LED Light stimulates collagen production deep within skin. • Blue LED Light destroys acne causing bacteria. • Purple combines the best of Red and Blue light • • How often should I use FaceWare Pro? • Dr Dennis Gross recommend to use the mask once a day for best results. Finding three minutes to use the device seems easy enough, I've been leaving it by my bedside, and on my desk and just popping it on when I lay down to go to sleep at night of while I’m on a non-video Zoom call. • How long before I should see results? • The manual for this device says that you can expect to see a reduction in blemishes within a few days, and clearing up spots as well as an initial reduction of lines and wrinkles within about two weeks of daily use. The best results for wrinkles should occur after 10 weeks of daily use. • Did I see results? • I’m just over two weeks in and it’s hard to say. I think my skin looks great; I’ve had no breakouts and I may actually be seeing a bit more firmness… I guess on week two of a recommended ten it’s still hard to tell. I find the treatment super easy and conventine to use, since it does my whole face at once, and I’ve also been holding it up to my neck too for added benefits. • Battery Life Charging • The FaceWare Pro is rechargeable, using an included USB-C cord. • Charging takes about 2-4 hours and should give you between 24 and 30 minutes of use, or approximately 8 to 10 sessions. • • Overall review: Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLite™ FaceWare Pro mask • Overall, and enjoying my treatments. They are easy to fit into my busy schedule primarily because they're hands-free and only three minutes long. The mask is comfortable to wear, and doesn't pull or poke on my face. Well it's hard to gauge if I'm seeing true results just yet I do plan to continue using it and will have to report back after the 10 week time period. Yes, this device is extraordinarily pricey, but if you are the type of person who gets professional facials done and pays dearly for skin services, the option of being able to do some of this at home and still reaping the benefits should not be lost on anyone. • The Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLite™ FaceWare Pro mask sells for $435USD /$528CAD and is available from a variety of beauty retailers and from Dr. Dennis Gross website.
