Varimathras raid guide! Heroic Varimathras and Normal Varimathras raid boss guide for Antorus, the Burning Throne. Antorus, the Burning Throne is the new raid coming in Patch 7.3 and Varimathras is back once again. This is a Heroic and Normal Varimathras guide using footage from the raid testing on the PTR. Boss fight info and mechanics are subject to change but are likely to stay largely correct. Any major changes to the Varimathras fight on live servers will be noted in a pinned comment below this boss guide video. • Varimathras in Antorus, the Burning Throne is an incredibly simple fight on Normal, and still pretty straightforward on Heroic. There's a reason this video is under three minutes. Alone in the Darkness (always keep a friendly player within 8 yards of you) and Misery (any shadow damage taken, which is basically every mechanic in this encounter, makes you unhealable for 7 seconds) are consistent things to deal with throughout the Varimathras fight. Stay stacked with your ranged/melee group, and never run off on your own without a cooldown planned. • The only difference I found between Heroic Varimathras and Normal Varimathras in Antorus is the presence of Frost/Fel Torments of the Shivarra, and then of course our favourite Necrotic Embrace. Necrotic Embrace is the one mechanic that really steps up the Varimathras fight in difficulty.
