Even though a record number of flats is being built in Prague, the availability of housing is still deteriorating. And this year buying an apartment in Prague will be even more complicated. Why will only millionaires have money for it? We talk about this in the Kotula Real Estate Agency in the next part of the Live Prague series. • Everyone has known for a long time that the prices for the sale of apartments in Prague have climbed to dizzying heights. Despite these huge sums, it was possible to manage the mortgage until last year. But that is changing now. Interest rates and mortgage payments are rising due to the Czech National Bank's interventions in the fight against inflation. In addition, the conditions under which you get a mortgage at all are tightening. Mortgage 2022 will therefore be a completely different cup of tea than mortgage in 2021. • So, while last year the payment for a 7 million apartment in a block of flats was around 21 thousand crowns, this year you will have to prepare around 30 thousand a month. And for the bank to give you mortgage at all you must have a salary of around 69 000 crowns.
