The video shows the maiden of the RC Experimental Rotorwing II , using the MAGNUS - Effect. It was designed comparable to a motorized paraglider ( paramotor ), and uses a rotating FLETTNER - cylinder wing with 10 Thom - Rings (Thom - Rotorwing). The wing rotates with 800 - 2000 rpm against the flight direction - instead of the paramotor 's sail. No control surfaces, assisting winglets or electronical stabilizers are used. ROTORWING II flies with a 3D vector control unit thrusting 800grs. - approved in many RC - Vector Kites. The 'ROTORWING II' is driven by a 25grs. weighing BL - motor with a belt-drive ratio of 4:1 and uses a 3S LiPo of 1350mAh.
