Jin Sakai encounters a group of Straw Hats attacking Lucky Genzo's Inn. He defeats them all and checks for any survivors of the attack. The only person alive is an old woman. She explains that the ronin attacked the inn and took all of the men to Hollow Gorge. With her dying breath, she begs Jin to save her husband Oda, who was among the men taken. • Jin travels to Hollow Gorge, clearing the camp there of ronin and freeing the prisoners. However, Oda is nowhere to be found. One of the prisoners mentions another ronin camp on a cliffside nearby. Once again, Jin clears the cliffside camp and frees the prisoners but is unable to find Oda. One of the prisoners mentions that some of the Straw Hats who attacked the inn were survivors of the Yarikawa Rebellion. • Jin heads to one final camp nearby, where he finds both Mongols and Straw Hats. After defeating the enemies, he finds Oda and frees him. The man tells Jin to hurry to the inn to help his wife, but Jin breaks the news to him.
