Lacing is a decorative method of sewing leather projects together. In using chrome tanned/upholstery leather, I cannot burnish the edges well but I still wanted a professional looking finish for my handmade leather goods. With practice, lacing has become one of the favorite finishing methods. • The Double Loop stitch covers a wider area and is generally recommended for heavier leather for projects such as wallets, purses, or small bags. It covers a wider surface especially where two thicknesses of leather require more lacing to cover the edge. Here I demonstrate the double loop using 3/32 lace on a small 3 inch wide pouch. • If you would like to see my lacing station - I covered it in another video. It is not a conventional set up. • Angry Mushroom email list: no spam, just updates on our next live event or new projects. • http://www.theangrymushroom.com • Hit subscribe to catch more videos from The Angry Mushroom Emporium • Thanks for watching!
