78-year-old normotensive demented male patient with new onset cerebral hemorrhage. Multiple areas of increased T2/FLAIR signal intensity in the subcortical, deep, and periventricular white matter of the left and right temporal lobes including a rounded region of signal loss within the posterior left temporal deep white matter compatible with a focal hemorrhage at that site. There is patchy ill-defined T2/FLAIR hyperintense signal within the pons. Numerous focal regions of signal loss within the subcortical and deep white matter of the supratentorial compartment on the susceptibility weighted images. This is a case of cerebral amyloid angiopathy. Cerebral amyloid antipathy is typically seen in normotensive demented patients.
