Ethiopia Eritrea launches surprise air attack

(12 Jun 1998) T/I: 11:26:04 • • • Eritrea has launched a surprise airstrike on the northern Ethiopian town of Adigrat, killing four and wounding 30 others. In the attack on Thursday (11/06) two helicopters and a MiG jet fighter swooped over the town, slamming bombs into its centre. Of those injured in the attack 21 were still recovering in hospital on Thursday (11/06).
