WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS HERE IN DESCRIPTION • 0:33 - Using 7-zip to unzip downloaded files: • Many NR2003 Files need to be extracted or unzipped when you download them. I use 7-zip: https://www.7-zip.org/ • • -------------------------------------MODS------------------------------------- • 0:57 - Patching the game to allow mods: • The game must be updated to 1.2.0.1 along with being patched in order to select mods using the “Active Series” arrows in the game. You may already have these patches. This can be downloaded at WKC. Instructions are included in the readme for the download: https://wildkustomcars.weebly.com/mis... • • 1:51 - What is a mod for NR2003? • “Mods” refer to a folder in the series folder. For example, “Default Cup Mod” is the “cup” folder in (Papyrus-Nascar Racing 2003 Season-series) • • 2:44 - Downloading mods and where to put them: • When you download a mod, unzip it and place it into the series folder. (Papyrus-Nascar Racing 2003 Season-series) Make sure you have actually downloaded a mod and not just a car set. • • 4:05 - Restrictions with mods • There are a maximum of 16 mods you can have in the series folder. There can possibly be issues if you delete the default “cup” mod so I usually leave it. • -------------------------------------CARSETS------------------------------------- • 4:48 - Downloading carsets and where to put them: • Carsets must be created for the mod you want to use them for. You cannot download a 2000 Default Cup Mod carset and use it on a 2012 mod. Download a carset and place it in the cars folder for the series you want. (Papyrus-Nascar Racing 2003 Season-series-cup-cars). Many carsets come with LST files that act as a roster in the Opponent Manager within the game. • 6:30 - Make sure your cars are the right physics type for your mod: • Carsets have to be the right physics type for the mod you are using. For example, you can only use car files with a .cts extension if you are playing on a CTS physics mod. • -------------------------------------TRACKS------------------------------------- • 7:33 - Updated shared folder and downloading tracks: • Many modded tracks use Revamped Reloaded shared folder. Download and place the shared folder in (Papyrus-Nascar Racing 2003 Season-Tracks). • Download a track you want to use and put it into the same tracks folder. Make sure the track folder is not compressed/zipped when you put it into the tracks folder. • -------------------------------------SOUNDPACKS------------------------------------- • 9:00 - What to do with soundpacks: • DO NOT DELETE SOUND.DAT OR THE GAME WILL NOT LAUNCH. If you delete SPCC you will have no spotter or crew chief.
