Blackberry Jam is very easy to make with this blackberry jam recipe. All you need are 3 ingredients - Blackberries, caster sugar and lemon juice. • We picked wild blackberries to take home and make our homemade jam. Soak the blackberries in water with a spoonful of salt and leave for 1-2 hours. This will kill and remove and bugs in the blackberries. • Rinse well then simmer the berries in a saucepan with the lemon and water for 1-2 hours or until the blackberries are soft and pulpy. • Add the caster sugar and bring to the boil stirring constantly. • Either boil to a temperature of 105 degrees C or do the wrinkle test by placing a small amount of jam on a cold plate, wait for it too cool, and push it with your finger.
