This is one of my favorite galliards by John Dowland. It is found in Robert Dowland's Varietie of Lute Lessons (1610). It was dedicated to Katherine Darcy (Darcie) who became Lady Clifton when she married Gervase Clifton, son of Sir John Clifton.
