Add the corn kernels once oil is hot. • Close the lid immediately and give a slight shake. It will start to pop. • Slightly open the lid for steam to escape. • Once the popping interval reduces, switch off the flame. • Transfer to another bowl and add butter to the pan so that it melts in the heat. • Pour over popcorn and add salt. Toss well immediately with lid. • Mix and serve fresh. • Notes • Do not let the popcorn without any lid. Be cautious all the time. • Use a big, heavy bottomed flat pan for best results. • Oil should be hot when you put the corn kernels, so check adding 2-3 (with lid) before adding all. • You can use any cooking oil, but coconut oil works best. • If you add popcorn before oil heats, by the time it starts to pop, some might get burnt too. • Add salt in sprinkled way.
