Duke University has officially ended its full-ride scholarship program dedicated to supporting Black students in need of financial assistance. This scholarship was initially named in honor of Reginaldo “Reggie” Harris, Duke's first Black student government president, whose life tragically ended prematurely. Although the original program is being discontinued, Duke's Office of University Scholars and Fellows plans to collaborate with the Mary Lou Williams Center for Black Culture to continue supporting Black students in other capacities. • #theconversationproject #newsoftheday #dukeuniversity
