If you need a simple, effective way to make permanent, waterproof electrical wire connections, self-soldering DX Engineering heat shrink wire connectors are a great option. Also known as butt-splice connectors, they combine a low-temperature solder, sealing ends, and heat shrink tubing in one, convenient package. The end of each connector features a waterproof adhesive sealer to ensure a reliable connection. No crimping tool is required. • In this video, we show you how to correctly place and seal a DX Engineering wire splice connector and discuss the various sizes and package options available from Summit Racing. The connectors come in four color-coded sizes to cover wire sizes from 10 to 26 AWG (6.0 sq. mm to 0.2 sq. mm).
