Balance sheet is the third step of final account that is prepared to determine financial position of a business organization. Assets , liabilities and capital of business organization are arranged in the balance sheet in order of either permanence or liquidity which is known as marshaling of assets liabilities. • In order of permanence, fixed assets and long term liabilities are shown at the top and current assets current liabilities are shown at the bottom on their respective sides of the balance sheet.
