Sýkora parukářka (Lophophanes cristatus) patří k našim menším sýkorám. Na rozdíl od ostatních sýkor je stálá, není potulná. To znamená, že se po celý rok, nejen v době hnízdění, zdržuje v jedné lokalitě. V zimě vytváří jen malá hejnka maximálně 6 ptáků, která si hájí zimní teritoria. S ostatními sýkorami se sdružuje málo, nejčastěji jí vídáme jen v párech. Je výlučně lesním druhem, který se vyskytuje hlavně ve smrkových a borových lesích, někdy i vlhkých a stinných, kde jiné sýkory většinou nehnízdí. Oproti jiným sýkorám si mnohem častěji hledají potravu i na zemi. Převažuje drobný hmyz, jeho larvy a pavouci. V zimě se živí hlavně semeny jehličnanů. • English • The Crested tit (Lophophanes cristatus) belongs to our smaller tit. Unlike other tits, it is permanent, not wandering. She doesn't socialize with other chickadees, most often we see her only in pairs. It is exclusively a forest species, which is found mainly in spruce and pine forests, sometimes even moist and shady ones, where other titmice usually do not nest. Compared to other titmice, they also look for food on the ground much more often. Small insects, their larvae and spiders predominate.
