Lack of sleep leads to high blood sugars and you actually will be hungrier the next day. 4. Your body needs carbs for energy and it is the preferred source for your brain. Focus on healthy carbs like vegetables and whole grains and avoid the highly processed foods. 5. Skipping meals can lead to low blood sugars or crashes and then blood sugar spike when you overeat because you were starving. Skipping meals is not quite the same as intermittent fasting.
