INGREDIENTS • 113 g / 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature • 165 g / 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter • 99 g / 1/2 cup granulated sugar • 106 g / 1/2 cup light or dark brown sugar • 56 g / 1 large egg, at room temperature • 15 g / 1 tablespoon vanilla extract • 210 g / 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour • 3 g / 3/4 teaspoon fine sea salt • 113 g / 4 ounces chopped milk chocolate or milk chocolate chips • 60 g / 1/4 cup heavy cream • METHOD • 1. Cream the butter, peanut butter, and sugars until light and fluffy, 4-5 minutes. • 2. Add the egg and vanilla and mix well to combine, 1-2 minutes more. • 3. Add the flour and salt and mix to combine. Roll the dough into balls about 1 tablespoon in size. • 4. Use your thumb or fingertips to make two indentations to look like a heart! • 5. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. Cool. • 6. Melt the chocolate and cream together over a double boiler or carefully in the microwave. Spoon or pipe the chocolate into the heart cavities, and let set until firm. Makes about 2 dozen cookies. • #happybaking
