Lipid nanoparticles are compounds of lipids that can be used for encapsulating and protecting nucleic acids such as mRNA. Current mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines use four lipids to protect and deliver mRNA: non-animal derived cholesterol, like Evonik’s PhytoChol®, an ionizable cationic lipid, a PEG lipid, anda phospholipid. All of these have very specific functions and help deliver the active payload safely to the human cell. Discover why lipid nanoparticles (LNP) are the standard technology for mRNA drug delivery in this video. • For more information please contact us at [email protected] or visit https://healthcare.evonik.com/en/phar.... • Don't miss the latest videos and subscribe to our YouTube channel: / evonikindustries • For the latest news visit us on • LinkedIn: / evonik • Twitter: / evonik • Facebook: / evonik • Instagram: / evonikofficial • Xing: https://www.xing.com/companies/evonik • Evonik.
