π This Honeycomb Cold Process Soap recipe is palm-free, and contains a mixture of butters and yellow beeswax to create a balanced bar. In fact, this recipe contains a full 7% yellow beeswax! Because of the high percentage of beeswax, we recommend soaping a little bit warmer than usual. We found mixing the lye and oils around 130-140 degrees F was a good temperature to ensure the beeswax was fully melted, but the soap did not overheat in the mold. • π Get the full Honeycomb Cold Process Soap recipe and ingredients: • https://bberry.studio/honeycombcp • In addition to beeswax, this soap contains bee pollen powder and is scented with Raw Honeycomb Fragrance Oil. The fragrance is a comforting combination of cream, honey, smoke, and dried fruit. To complement the ingredients, bubble wrap is placed on top. When the bubble wrap is pulled away, it reveals a realistic honeycomb pattern. • π Raw Honeycomb Fragrance Oil: https://www.brambleberry.com/shop-by-... • We recommend allowing this soap to go through gel phase. Because the soap is created with higher temperatures and bee pollen powder contains a small amount of natural sugars, the soap will become warmer as it sits in the mold. In our attempts to curb gel phase by placing it in the freezer and fridge, we discovered the soap still gelled in the center. Partial gel phase is completely fine - it's still wonderful soap. But, it creates a ring in the center which can be undesirable from a design standpoint. • To prevent partial gel, leave the soap at room temperature. Cover with a box to gently insulate - we did not find a heating pad to be necessary to achieve full gel phase. Keep your eye on the soap for the first hour to make sure it does not overheat and crack. If the soap starts to crack, place it in the fridge to bring temperatures back down. • π Honeycomb Soap Recipe: • 10″ Silicone Loaf Mold • Bubble wrap, cut to fit in mold • 3.3 oz.
