In historic racing, the Ford Zakspeed Turbo Capri occupies a special place. Introduced three years earlier, it was 1981 when Klaus Ludwig finally managed to win the title in the German Racing Championship. The Ford Zakspeed Turbo Capri has a total of 39 victories, more than any other Group 5 car in the German Racing Championship. This short video I shot during the 50th AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix on the Nürburgring, as part of the qualifying to the Revival of the German Racing Championship (aka Deutsche Rennsport-Meisterschaft). On display are three Ford Zakspeed Turbo Capri.
