3 Ways To Style The IWC Ingenieur Matching Watches To Outfits

Kicking off a brand new series today devoted to how to match a watch to your outfit. In each video, I'll pick a specific watch and show you multiple ways to style it. Getting the ball rolling here with a simple, classic, and extremely versatile piece from my collection, the IWC Ingenieur Automatic. • 1:36 - OUTFITS START HERE • IWC introduced the Ingenieur in 1955 in an effort to provide a watch that wasn't just precise, but that was also shock resistant, watertight, and impervious to magnetic fields (hey, remember, this was the 1950s...). Over the years, the Ingenieur has gone through a variety of design updates, including perhaps most famously, the 1976 Ingenieur SL Automatic by Gerald Genta, and the Ingenieur Automatic AMG, to honor IWC's partnership with Mercedes-AMG. • From a design perspective, the new IWC Ingenieur Automatic most closely resembles the original in its simplicity, which contributes greatly to the watch's incredible versatility. As you'll see, the IWC Ingenieur Automatic works across a wide spectrum of looks, from business to ultra casual. • Beyond its versatility, there are two things that really make me love the IWC Ingenieur Automatic. First, it's kind of a sleeper in the IWC lineup. When most people think of IWC, they thing of the Big Pilot or the Portuguese line.
