This was one of the first passenger revenue services to Olympic Park on the first day (15th October 2011) • On the 14th October 2011, the CityRail website changed it's Where is the Waratah train is operating page from the timetable of showing a list of times of where the train ran during off peak on the Airport/East Hills line during the Weekday and All day on the South and Airport/East Hills line on the Weekend to a statement of changes, with another Waratah train ready, running peak hour during weekdays and operating Olympic Park Sprint line shuttles on the weekend. • http://www.cityrail.info/news/project... • • The Waratah trains will be progressively introduced into off-peak and peak period passenger service. • The first Waratah train peak period passenger services starts from 14 October 2011. This peak service now operates on the Airport East Hills and Inner West lines Monday to Friday. On the weekend it will run the Olympic Park shuttle service. • A second Waratah train operates during the off-peak period on the Airport East Hills Line and all weekend on the Airport East Hills and South lines. • The newest Waratah train delivered acts as the standby replacement train until the next set is delivered. When the next train is delivered it will then graduate to the off-peak period passenger service. • This progressive deployment of the Waratah trains into off-peak and peak period passenger services will be followed for each new train to assist the smooth introduction of this new fleet. • As the Waratah fleet increases in numbers, the new air-conditioned trains will then be introduced onto the Northern, Bankstown, Western and North Shore lines, as well as additional sets on the Airport East Hills, Inner West and South lines.
