Multi-Tiered System of Support, or MTSS, is an inclusive system of support for all students, and encompasses Universal Support, Additional Support, and Intensified Support. First in the MTSS trilogy, this SWIFT clip by Dan Habib highlights how SWIFT schools implement Universal Support, which relies on a core curriculum aligned with academic standards. School leaders apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, which helps teachers provide instruction using diverse methods in order to include every child in the general education classroom.
