To book Halal hotels in Istanbul Turkey, click on the link below; • https://halalbooking.com/?partner=HAL... • Taxis - BE VERY CAREFUL. They will rip you off by taking the long way around, going round and round and even changing the figures on the meter! Best thing to do is agree a price beforehand or keep an eye on the meter. www.turkeytravelplanner.com has lots of useful info. • Tram/public transport is best to use by buying an ISTANBULKART (its like an Oyster card) where you tap in. But the difference is you can use one card between lots of people. Once you tap in, you give the card to the next person and they can tap in too. So don’t buy more than 1 card! You can use the card on ferries as well as the tram but not on all buses. • You can pretty much walk everywhere too in Istanbul. Most of the sight seeing tours are all located in Sultanahmet or within walking distance. • Things to do and see in Istanbul; • 1. Aya Sofia • 2. Blue/Sultanahmet Mosque • 3. Suleymanie Mosque • 4. Gulhane Park • 5. Galata Tower • 6. Basilica Cistern • 7. Topkapi Palace • 8. Rustem Pasha Mosque • 9. Eyup Sultan Mosque (otherwise know as Salahuddin the famous conqueror of Jerusalem). If you go there on Jumuah day you will not find space anywhere - it’s very popular. You normally have to pray outside. (Recommend praying jumuah at Suleymanie) • 10. Miniaturk • 11. Museums - Istanbul archeological; Turkish Islamic Arts Museum etc. Lots of museums to visit. You can buy the Museum Pass which allows you access to lots of buildings including Aya Sofia and Topkapi Palace as well as all the museums - 5 day pass is only 85Liras. Cheapest way to visit everywhere if you visit more than 3 buildings. Can buy the pass at any Museum. • 12. New Mosque (but 500 years old). Near this mosque there’s usually a gallery that’s got different artists and displays. • 13. Galata Bridge/Bosphorus (fish sandwiches very delicious here) • 14. Istiklal Street. Can find all designer and non designer stuff here. Also something to have here is ‘wet hamburgers’ - steamed buns with burger inside. Very nice. And cheap. • 15. Maiden’s Tower - very nice to sit on the coastline and watch the sun set. Also good tea here • 16. Eminonu Square. Cheapest stuff here. Underneath the subway. You normally won’t get anything cheaper than here so if you want to buy stuff buy it from here! It’s slightly cheaper to go to the Asian side of Istanbul but harder to locate things. • 17. Bazaars - Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar. Grand Bazaar is expensive compared to spice Bazaar. Spice Bazaar has everything they Grand Bazaar has but just more spices. Everything is cheaper in the spice Bazaar than the grand one. Can visit both just to see but buy stuff from Spice Bazaar. • 18. There are lots of hidden shops around the Bazaar which have really good stuff and cheaper than the bazaars so just browse. • 19. Take the ferry/cruise • 20. Princes Islands (day trip) • There’s so much more to see and do. Can’t even mention most of that stuff. Food wise- in Sultanahmet it’s not the best and it’s the most priciest as it’s the tourist hotspot. • One restaurant I would recommend is Ciya Sofrasi but this is on the Asian side of Istanbul. You will have to take the ferry across but it is worth it. • For desserts - Hafiz Mustafa (though it’s expensive) is probably the better dessert places. • • All of our videos have no nasheed or additional sounds and include the original audio so that you can immerse yourself into getting the feeling of a full experience of the locations. • https://www.halaltrek.com •   / halaltrek   •   / halaltrek   •    / halaltrek   • Telegram: t.me/hajjandumrah
