I was starting to like the MX8 and after learning all of the in and outs of the MX8 I have gotten the pools on my route with them looking great. • The MX8 is a heavy cleaner but works well in most pools. The MX6 is made for pools with variable speed pumps (not dual speed) as it will run at a lower RPM then the MX8. I tried it on a dual speed pump in this video and it didn't move at all on low. On a variable speed pump it will move at a lower setting saving you money on energy cost - hence the box label touting it as super energy efficient. But basically it runs best at a proper speed. Basically it will run at a lower RPM then the MX8. • You need to time how the yellow wheel insert to see how many seconds it takes to spin around 10 times. 20-25 seconds is optimal. • It reminds me a lot of the PoolCleaner by Poolvergnuegen - especially the gearing. One side will stop and cause the cleaner to spin every 12- 14 ft whether it is on the floor or on the walls. And this thing is excellent at climbing walls in a plaster pool. I tossed it one of my fiberglass pools on my route and it moved around okay. Seemed to have trouble on the slick steep walls. • I ordered this one from PoolSupplyWorld.com for $269.99 with free shipping and no sales tax. • • I wanted to test out PoolSupplyWorld.com since I recommend them on my Website.
