BMX racing start gate FAIL

How NOT to do a BMX racing start gate - but he got back up, got back on and he raced his race!!! He didn't just cruise round the finish he RACED his heart out and the crowd all cheered him on 🥹 • This BMX race taught Harley a lot - he learned how to react faster to the gate... but he also learned the reason why coach Smiley says NO TALKING (and no moving) on the start gate: Harley reacted to a sudden noise that he heard late into the gate sequence... but sadly that noise wasn't the beep of the gate drop and he and went over the bars. • The crash didn't put him off and he did all of his motos then onto the final.... and what a race that was!!! He's improved his start gate technique so much so his last race... and with him being given lane 8 due to his crash lap not giving him a time he even showed us how he understands line choice from the gate to the first berm... and took that inside line!!! • Sadly we haven't learned much about what to do after the first berm (we've unpicked so many bad habits in the last two weeks alone theres only so much you can teach a 5yr old!!) - so he rode in the middle of the second straight and opened the door for two riders to take the inside line on the second berm... and he lost his race head at that point. • More proud of this little man than ever before - showing true grit and determination racing for his team: Smileys Flight Club, especially after his crash. • #bmxracing #bmxrace #onealriders
