❤️ Please subscribe / @psvice ❤️ • Bicycle crankset bolts coming loose, crank arm falling off? • This can be a very serious issue, if your crankset bolts are coming loose and probably the crank arms, both or just one is falling off. • It can be dangerous when riding, but it will also be costly, as if the crank arm is not properly installed and sealed in the bottom bracket spindle, it will get damaged, the inner part will get rounded and you will have to buy a new one. • What you need to do if the bolts are coming loose is to: • 1. Clean the bolts and the spindle threads. • 2. Apply some Loctite or nail polish on the bolts threads. • 3. Put back the bolts but be careful not to mess up the threads, tighten them gently. • 4. Tighten the bolts with a big hex wrench, not with a small one, around 40Nm. • 5. Tighten the bolts even more, get a big wrench or a steel tube extender for your small hex wrench and tighten it very very strong. • Note that if the bolts are not tightened enough, they will come loose.
