It is 1850 feet above sea level. At the very top of it is a Buddhist shrine. This hill is also known as Marayon Dong and Meraithong. • Where there is a bust of Gautam Buddha. This makes the whole place special. The very top of the Marayon Tong Mountains is perfectly flat. • Whereas far as the eye can see, there are only 6 rows of hills This is like a sea of mountains. And the river Matamuhuri has gone down the hill like a snake. • Various indigenous ethnic groups are living in and around the Marayon Tong hills. Tripura, Marma, Murang is one of them. The Marmas live at the bottom of the hill. • The people here depend on the mountains for their livelihood.
